During his participation in the Forum on Unilateral Coercive Measures of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations Organization (UN), the Foreign Minister, Jorge Arreaza, said that despite the impact generated by the unilateral coercive measures that has imposed by the Government of the United States (USA) against the Venezuelan people, the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, has not spared effort in social investment

“There is a difficult situation in Venezuela, which we would not have without the sanctions or the blockade. Despite that, President Nicolás Maduro has not spared efforts in social investment, we have not closed schools or hospitals, we have made a great effort to maintain policies despite the blockade”, said Arreaza from Geneva, Switzerland

He emphasized that more than 75% of the Venezuelan state budget is aimed at social investment, which has generated that today more than 15 million of Venezuelans, half of the population, live in decent homes delivered by the Great Venezuela Housing Mission (GMVV)

“We remain in resistance, we have achieved, with our allies and private companies in the world, the solution of our problems to supply medicines and food to the Venezuelan people,” said the Foreign Minister of Venezuela.
